2025 Scerbo

Untrue Museum is a solo exhibition by Scerbo that explores the creative potential of artificial intelligence beyond its role as a generative tool. Rather than producing finished images, Scerbo treats AI as a volatile material, one that is manipulated, disrupted, layered, and challenged until it begins to resist. The exhibition unfolds as a space suspended between figuration, abstraction, and the absurd, where imagined architectures, fragmented environments, and unstable museum interiors emerge through a process of continuous transformation.

Curated by Giuseppe Moscatello, the exhibition was conceived to reflect the logic of Scerbo’s practice. The spatial layout responds directly to the rhythm and compositional structure of the works, allowing visitors to experience the exhibition as an immersive sequence rather than a linear narrative. Through AI-generated imagery, sound, and digital interference, Untrue Museum questions fixed notions of authorship, materiality, and institutional space, proposing instead a constantly shifting environment where meaning emerges through instability, friction, and presence.
