Giuseppe Moscatello conceptualized and co-curated with Emirati Designer Khalid Shafar a touring exhibition named “Islamopolitan,” to mark the occasion of Sharjah being named the Islamic Cultural Capital in 2014. The exhibition began with an open call, inviting artists and designers of any cultural background and religion to submit proposals inspired by the philosophy of Islam. After the artwork selection, the pieces were produced and debuted at the Maraya Art Centre in Sharjah, accompanied by a printed publication. Subsequently, the exhibition traveled to Dubai, Kuwait, Milan Design Week, Istanbul Design Week, Eindhoven, and ultimately Washington DC, where it was featured in an exhibition organized by the UAE embassy in the United States.
