Evolve, in collaboration with OMZ, curated and produced the exhibition “Gazers: A Meditation on Time and Light”, marking Matt Kane’s first solo show in the Emirates, presented at Foundry during the month of Ramadan.
The exhibition unfolded in three distinct expressions: eight fixed lunar phases, four accelerated renderings of a lunar month, and a real-time reflection of the moon above us. These works exist in a space between permanence and flux—between cosmic time and human perception.
At the core of the show was a generative art series of 1,000 evolving pieces. Each work serves as a tribute to the moon’s rhythms and the cyclical nature of existence, functioning as an algorithmic performance that lives, breathes, and transforms. These digital artworks shift in real time, synchronizing with the moon’s movement across the night sky.
